Right Match Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer in Rainham, East London. Salary is GBP53,000 per annum plus benefits. The role is full-time and permanent, reporting to the Asset Care Lead and involving GMP, SHE and engineering procedures.

Working hours are 39.82 per week with rotating day and night shifts. The position requires electrical and mechanical qualifications, factory maintenance experience, a valid FLT licence, and strong IT/CMMS skills.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical qualifications with recognized certificates.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• 18th edition wiring/regs knowledge and electrical safety competency.
• FLT licence is required.
• PC/IT literate and able to use maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance works and service requests.
• Complete work orders on the CMMS daily.
• Identify and raise requisitions for spares; support safety and quality KPIs.
• Supervise contractors on site and manage on-site activities.
• Installations and repairs of site infrastructure as required.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safe working practices.
• Follow GMP, SHE and Engineering procedures.
• General housekeeping in workshops and common areas.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards.

Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (PRG/MSS/1) Rainham, England

Salary: GBP53000 - GBP53000 per annum + plus benefits

We are recruiting for experienced and forward thinkingMulti-Skilled Shift Engineer. This is full time and permanentposition and working for very well established company. Very interesting and varied role with a scope for progression.

We are currently seeking Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer. This is a very exciting time to join a growing company regarded as experts in their industry, with opportunities for employees to develop within their role.

Work Pattern:

• 39.82 hours per week
• Shifts rotating every 2 weeks between days and nights
• Day Shift - 05:45 – 18:15
• Night Shift - 17:45 – 06:15

The role:

• Reporting to the Asset Care Lead
• Follow GMP, SHE and Engineering procedures
• Support production prioritising safety, quality and production output
• Comply with legislative and statutory requirements
• Demonstrate company values and follow company policies at all times

Key areas of responsibility:

• Complete work orders / jobs allocated to you on the CMMS system on daily basis.
• Carry out maintenance works according to site safety procedures and risk assessments
• Follow and comply with the company stores policy
• Identify and raise requisitions for spares used through the operations administrator
• Complete allocated PPM tasks and submitted PPM reports to the Asset Care Lead
• Problem solve and trouble shoot issues specific on individual production equipment to help the plan performance to reach KPIs
• Carry out continuous improvement tasks identified
• Supervise contractors on site for specific task and take responsibility for them whilst on site
• Issue and close work permit if authorised to do so
• Use workshop tools and equipment to carry out repair works as per safe working procedures
• Complete installation works as and when required related to site improvements
• Always maintain tools and equipment in the workshop in good working order
• Comply with site technical and food safety standards
• General housekeeping duties for workshops and common areas covered by engineering
• Maintain critical infrastructure on site as required

Qualifications/Experience required:

• Electrical and Mechanical qualified within the following range
• Degree /HND/HNC/OND/ONC/Btech or level 3 NVQ or above
• 18th edition wiring regulation, City & Guilds 236/2360 parts 1,2 and C (electrical installation or similar)
• Experience working on mechanical and electrical aspects of machines and setting up of production equipment
• FLT licence
• PC/IT literate
• Relevant experience or certification in machine operation / Engineering operations
• Proven industry experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• IOSH or equivalent safety certified
