Job summary

SER Limited in Glasgow is seeking a multi-skilled Pump Technician (Electrical / Mechanical) to install, service and repair a wide range of pumping equipment across commercial, industrial and domestic environments.

The role requires a City & Guilds qualification, at least three years’ post-apprenticeship experience, and a full UK driving licence. The package includes a company van, fuel card, phone, tablet, uniform and 33 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Three years' relevant post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
• Practical experience working with pumping equipment and associated systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, reactive repairs and installation work on a variety of pumping equipment and associated systems.
• Diagnose faults and undertake electrical and mechanical repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Complete testing and inspections following installation, maintenance and repair work.
• Work on equipment including booster sets, pressurisation units, sump pumps, thermal expansion systems, sewage and drainage pumping stations, HVAC pumping equipment and grease removal systems.
• Assist with system commissioning and ensure all work meets relevant standards and specifications.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on‑call rota.
