Job summary

Acis Group Limited is seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Plumber to repair and upgrade housing stock, deliver high-quality customer service, and work in tenants’ homes. You will handle responsive repairs, liaise with tenants and managers, and contribute to safe, compliant works within social housing settings.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent, a full driving licence, and several years of maintenance experience in void and tenanted properties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Full driving licence.
• Several years’ experience of repairs and maintenance in void and tenanted properties.
• Sound understanding of the construction industry, building trade, health and safety, manual handling, working at heights, etc.
• Experience working within social housing.
• Ability to plan ahead to complete jobs on time, first time.
• Resilience working in social housing is rewarding yet challenging.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all types of plumbing repairs including taps, WCs and wastes, plus basic tiling in Acis housing stock and in other properties as instructed.
• Arrange the provision of materials and plant to attain efficient, effective delivery.
• Ensure materials are available to complete work to the required quality standard.
• Liaise with tenants and line manager regarding timing and progress of work.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of equipment, including regular vehicle checks.
• Carry out work in line with Building Regulations and current Codes of Practice.
• Carry out local risk assessments as required and work with a customer-focused attitude.
• Complete training and qualifications as duties demand and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
