Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Multi Skilled Plumber to join the Milton Keynes team, delivering responsive repairs and a range of multi-skilled tasks. The role requires a full UK driving licence and living within the Milton Keynes area.

Working 40 hours per week with early and late shifts, and occasional Saturday mornings on rotation, you will participate in an out-of-hours callout rota with additional pay. A basic DBS check is provided by The Guinness Partnership.

Qualifications

• Competence in the primary trade with the ability to carry out multi-trade tasks (basic joinery, tiling, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation).
• Experience in a customer-focused environment, ideally within social housing, with a track record of delivering high quality service.
• Able to work methodically, meet targets, follow procedures and record information accurately.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, showing strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out damp/mould treatment safely and effectively under Health & Safety guidelines.
• Able to operate safely, considering environmental risks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work for residents in Milton Keynes.
• Work 40 hours per week with 8:00am–4:30pm Mon–Fri, plus a late shift and Saturday mornings on a rota.
• Participate in an out-of-hours callout rota, with additional payment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard.

About The Role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Plumber to join our Milton Keynes team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work a 10:30am - 7:00pm late shift and Saturday mornings on a rotational basis.

The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment.

To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Milton Keynes area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic joinery, tiling, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.


• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.


• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.


• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.


• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.


• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
