Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking an experienced multi-skilled plasterer for a 6-month contract in Stafford. Responsibilities include traditional plastering duties, boarding, and customer service in domestic social housing properties. Suitable candidates should have an NVQ in plastering, a clean driving license, and experience in a housing association environment. Competitive pay rates of £19 - £21 per hour are offered.

Qualifications

  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience in maintenance with Housing Association background (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations and safety regulations.

  • Boarding, skimming and ceiling plastering.

Overview

Professional and experienced multi-skilled plasterer required to work on a 6 month contract with a leading Staffordshire based housing association on void and tenanted property maintenance.

Contract type: Agency for 6 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Base in Stafford with regular travel across Staffordshire and Shropshire. Company van and tools supplied.

Pay rate: £19 - £21.00 per hour depending on skill set

Responsibilities
  • Carry out all the traditional duties of a multi-skilled plasterer, including all aspects of second fix plastering maintenance and repairs on domestic social housing properties.
  • Boarding, skimming and ceiling plastering.
  • Perform very basic related trades as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Suitable NVQ trade qualification (ideally plastering).
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience in maintenance with Housing Association background (preferred).
  • Multi-skilled experience in various trades.
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations, construction industry safety regulations, relevant British standards and codes of practice.
  • Customer care skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative.
  • Effective leadership and team collaboration.
