Overview

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Plasterer

Pay: £19 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Coalville

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi-Skilled Plasterer to join a busy team responsible for a wide range of repairs, maintenance, and improvement works across the council's housing stock. Most work will be carried out in occupied properties, with some in vacant homes. You will be part of a customer-focused team, delivering consistently high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake all plastering and related works to the required standard, following current regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Accurately record time, Schedule of Rates (SORs), and materials used for each work order using a smart phone device (PDA).
  • Complete work surveys to establish scope and materials required.
  • Support a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Maintain vehicle stock levels at an optimum level to ensure a 'Right First Time' approach.
Essential Criteria
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent industry-recognised qualification.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to carry out duties efficiently and effectively to required standards, in line with current trade guidelines and regulations.
  • Experience with installation, repairs, and maintenance in occupied domestic and residential buildings.
  • Skilled in diagnosing problems and identifying repairs needed.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and ability to demonstrate safe working practices.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and follow manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Ability to work in difficult locations and confined spaces as required.
Communication, Behaviours and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with tenants and colleagues.
  • Effective verbal communication skills at all levels.
