Job Description

A great opportunity to join the team at the Inland Border Facility.

Your Role

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations, including off-loading from trailers, presentation for inspection, and reloading onto trailers.

Your Responsibilities

1. Loading and unloading lorries, including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE.
2. Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility while remaining compliant with manual handling procedures.
3. Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested.
4. Taking instructions from on-site partners to support the inspection process.
5. Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training.
6. Carrying out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives.
7. Maintaining the inspection environment following training.
8. Following COSHH awareness procedures after training.
9. Assisting drivers in locating bays and supporting them in directions to bays and offices.
10. Championing a health and safety culture.

Your Skills and Experiences

1. Experience in logistics within a large, fast-moving environment.
2. Strong warehouse system experience.
3. Good knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
4. Experience working towards targets.
5. Intermediate PC skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
6. Understanding of warehouse practices such as picking and loading.
7. Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
8. Ability to meet tight deadlines in an organized manner.
9. Good communication skills.
10. High accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Excellent interpersonal skills.
12. Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absences.
