Job summary

Portakabin in Bristol is seeking an Offsite Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at the Bristol Hire Centre. You will be on the road for weekly travel across the South West and handle refurbishment and fit-out work to meet quality standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and generally involves working Monday-Thursday, plus Friday short day. Overtime is available and a merit-based earnings bonus can be earned after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational environments with semi-skilled tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as SOPs, RAMS and method statements.
• Safety-focused with basic knowledge of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and company procedures to complete work safely and to quality standards.
• Carry out refurbishment and fit-out activities following technical specifications and SOPs.
• Support colleagues by assisting with activities across the team and escalating issues when needed.
• Contribute to team delivery by working collaboratively and ensuring on-time, cost-effective delivery.

Role: Offsite Multi Skilled Operative

Hourly Rate: £15.87 per hour, overtime available and opportunity to earn additional merit of up to £4.73 following probation

Role based: Bristol, BS10 7SD (Driving licence required)

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:45am to 4:30pm, on Fridays from 7:45am to 3:30pm

Weekly Travel Covering the South West (Gloucester, Swindon to Cornwall). Full UK Driving Licence Required - You will thrive off being on the road, going to customer sites.

We are seeking Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in based in Bristol.

These roles will play a critical part in carrying out refurbishment and fit-out of buildings; ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, supporting on-time and cost-effective delivery for customers.

In this role you will be required to:

• Contribute to team delivery by working collaboratively and escalating issues promptly where they cannot be resolved.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience gained in operational environments, working across a variety of semi-skilled activities.
• Practical skills are acquired through training and supervised application.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials, with experience of using them safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Holds Slinger / Signaller ticket & CSCS card - desirable
