Job summary

Saxon Weald is hiring a Multiskilled Operative for our Internal Repairs Team in Horsham. You will perform a wide range of repairs across trades in customers' homes and residential schemes, delivering high‑quality workmanship and ensuring safe, secure homes.

A driving licence and handheld device use are required to log work and communicate updates. You will handle carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering and flooring tasks, prioritising first-time fix where possible, while maintaining a strong

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out repairs and maintenance in housing or a similar environment.
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, flooring).
• Experience completing carpentry or UPVC repairs is desirable.
• Competence in basic plumbing repairs (sinks/toilets).
• Comfort using handheld devices to record work and communicate with systems.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and risk assessments.

Multiskilled Operative – Internal Repairs Team

40 Hours Per Week

Circa £36,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Do you take pride in delivering high-quality repairs that make a real difference to people's lives? We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Internal Repairs Team within HomeFix. In this role, you'll carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance work in customers' homes and residential schemes, helping to keep homes safe, secure and in good condition.

Working across a range of trades, you'll complete repairs efficiently and safely, aiming to resolve issues on the first visit wherever possible. From carpentry and plumbing repairs to tiling, plastering and flooring work, you'll provide a reliable service that puts customers first. You'll keep customers informed throughout the repair process and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have experience carrying out repairs and maintenance in housing or a similar environment.
• Have strong practical skills across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering and flooring.
• Have experience completing carpentry or UPVC repairs.
• Be competent in basic plumbing repairs, including removing and refitting sinks and toilets.
• Be confident using handheld technology (tablet, smartphone etc) to record work accurately, send emails and use internal systems.
• Have a good understanding of health and safety requirements, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Have experience working in customers' homes or other occupied environments.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to drive a company van.
• Demonstrate behaviours that reflect Saxon Weald's values.
