Job summary

Ryvita in Poole seeks a Multi-Skilled Operative to run production lines and manufacture our products. This permanent, full-time role starts at £13.10 per hour with progression up to £14.35 per hour after training levels. Training includes a 2-week rotation and later moves to a 3-week cycle from January 2027.

The role includes a £500 signing bonus after 6 months' service, with a training assessment day on 27 August 2026. You will work Monday–Friday, 39 hours per week, with paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy bakery environment.
• Ability to make timely decisions and escalate when needed.
• Understanding of HSE and Food Safety risk.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to agreed parameters.
• Work to Bakery Standard Operating Procedures.
• Demonstrate personal accountability and meet Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Follow Quality systems and procedures to ensure HACCP, BRC, IFS and food safety standards.
• Record downtime, weight, quality checks and production data accurately.
• Respond to downtime incidents and liaise with technicians for faults.

Overview of role

We are on the lookout for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join the Ryvita team in Poole. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to run production lines and manufacture our brilliant products.

This is a permanent and full-time position based, working on average 39hours per week, Monday - Friday (including paid breaks). This role is available from 7th September 2026. This role includes a signing bonus of £500.00 to be paid after successfully completing 6 months of service.

Up until the end of December will you commence training working a 2-week shift rotation:

Starting salary for this role is £13.10 per hour, however this increases once you complete different training levels and can earn up to £14.35 per hour.

We will be running an assessment day for this vacancy on the morning of Thursday 27th August 2026. The assessment is likely to take 2-3 hours. Please ensure that you can attend this session before applying.

Key Accountabilities

Our Shift Manager is looking for a team member to...

• To operate machinery to agreed parameters
• To work to Bakery Standard Operating Procedures
• To demonstrate personal accountability within the site and ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met.
• Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards e.g. BRC, IFS, Femas.
• Ensure that all downtime, weight and quality checks, waste and production data is recorded consistently and accurately.
• Immediately respond to incidents of production downtime and liaise with the technicians for technical faults.
