Mears Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative for a field-based role in Yorkshire and Humber. You will carry out a range of repairs in void properties across plumbing, joinery, plastering and tiling, while maintaining high safety standards and delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes working in residents' homes with travel across the region, holding a full UK driving license and bringing your own tools.

• Experience in a core trade (Plumbing, Joinery, Plastering or Tiling).
• Experience in multiple trades.

• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Identify Void works and carry out works where necessary.
• Complete plumbing tasks including removing old shower trays, fitting and replacing baths and taps.
• Joinery duties including fitting doors, work tops and kitchen cupboards.
• Repair or replace internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges.
• Carry out patch plastering and make good damaged walls or ceilings.
• Complete wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing.
• Paint and decorate to a professional finish following repair works.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Record job details, materials used, and completion notes on handheld devices or job sheets.

Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs. We’re on the lookout for a talented and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team, supporting a busy repairs contract in Yorkshire and Humber. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance across a range of trades in void properties.With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to improving housing standards, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that’s making a real difference in the community.
