Job summary

John Lewis & Partners in Speke is seeking a part-time Warehouse Operative to support our Partnership channels by handling stock in and out of the warehouse. You will unload/load stock, record deliveries, move stock, and pick items for deliveries, all with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

The role includes heavy lifting. In addition to contractual pay, evening (£2.75) and night (£3.75) premiums apply for applicable hours.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse supports all the Partnership channels by handling stock coming in and being sent out of the warehouse. Performing tasks of unloading and loading stock, accurately recording deliveries into the warehouse, moving stock around the warehouse and collecting stock for deliveries. All these tasks are to be performed in a safe manner with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety at all times. Please note that this role involves heavy lifting. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £2.75 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

• Understanding of Google Suite/Programmes.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

• Category B manual UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).


• Previous Warehousing experience.


• Previous Customer Service experience.
