Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician for our Brighton site. The role focuses on mechanical building services, including HVAC and related plant, with basic electrical understanding. You will ensure comfort, safety and reliability for occupants through high-quality maintenance and fault resolution.

Working Monday to Friday, 12:00-21:00, with on-call rotation (1 week in 6). Travel to Burgess Hill may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience maintaining mechanical building services in a commercial environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills on HVAC and plant.
• Good understanding of PPM routines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on building services plant.
• Maintain and fault-find on HVAC systems: AHUs, FCUs, VAVs.
• Monitor and optimise system performance for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and O&M manuals.
• Complete work orders and log activities via CAFM/CMMS.
• Support contractors and engineers during planned works and shutdowns.
