Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician in Brighton to maintain and operate a large modern office environment. The role focuses on mechanical building services (HVAC) with basic electrical understanding. You will ensure comfort, safety and reliability for occupants through high-quality maintenance and fault resolution.

The role is Monday–Friday, 12:00–19:00, with future 7:00–16:00/12:00–19:00 shifts and 1 week in 6 on-call. Travel to Burgess Hill is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience maintaining mechanical building services in a commercial environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills on HVAC and associated plant.
• Good understanding of PPM routines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on building services plant.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault-find on HVAC systems.
• Maintain pumps, motors, and pressurisation units.
• Repair heating, hot water, and chillers.
• Monitor system performance for energy efficiency and comfort.
• Assist with installation and modification of building systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and O&M manuals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes.
• Log work orders in CAFM/CMMS and coordinate with contractors.
