Job Title: Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer

  • Salary Package: 57,000 + Bonus, Overtime and Package - £60k++
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Rotating Shifts Monday to Friday, NOT 12 HOUR SHIFTS
  • Electrical bias, ideally dual-skilled
  • Client: Global Manufacturing Company
  • Location: Reading area - commutable from Oxford area, Basingstoke, Maidenhead, Andover, Swindon etc

  • Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities – Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer
  • To service, adjust, and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe manner.
  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
  • Working on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements.
  • Carry out Planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
  • Share good ideas to form mini projects to improve the plant performance.
Qualifications & Requirements - Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance or similar.
  • HND or HNC diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical engineering.
  • PLC experience desirable.
  • Or the equivalent of any of the above in electrical or mechanical fields preferably with a manufacturing background.
  • Ideally Manufacturing industry experience.
