Job description

What to Expect

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Composites Technology Centre located in Sheffield, on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance. You will also handle timely reactive maintenance, improvements, installations, inspections, documentation, fault finding, and other engineering tasks. Therefore, you should be an experienced fault finder on electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems with an appreciation of the importance of preventative maintenance processes.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Establish and develop successful working relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Collaborate with contracting resources and OEMs to perform various tasks.
  • Support R&D work on future models by providing support, ideas, and bespoke items for new processes.
  • Monitor and respond to feedback from equipment monitoring systems.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance across site machinery and equipment.
  • React promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicate effectively, and fault find to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and provide feedback on maintenance activities and breakdowns.
  • Manage and supervise contractors and issue permits to work.
  • Log and document reactive and planned maintenance tasks using the CMMS system.
  • Assist in managing critical spares inventory via the CMMS system.
