Job summary

83zero Limited is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician for ERDC, a leading Engine Research & Development Centre. The role focuses on maintenance of advanced testbed and facility equipment in a state-of-the-art engine test facility.

You will perform reactive, planned and preventative mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and support and mentoring of apprentices and colleagues within a highly technical engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on mechanical maintenance experience.
• Confident fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician - ERDC

We're looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading Engine Research & Development Centre, working within a state-of-the‑art engine test facility.

This is a great opportunity to work on advanced testbed and facility equipment, supporting engine development in a highly technical engineering environment.

What you'll be doing

• Reactive, planned and preventative mechanical maintenance
• Fault finding, repairs and installation of facility equipment
• Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Reading mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings
• Supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects
• Root cause analysis and technical problem solving
• Working alongside engineers, technicians and external contractors
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and colleagues

What we’re looking for

• Engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
• Strong hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience
• Confident fault‑finding and diagnostics skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems or pipe fitting would be highly desirable
• Experience with laser alignment of rotating equipment is a bonus

12-month contract with strong potential to extend
5 days on‑site
