A logistics and maintenance firm in Coleshill is seeking a proactive Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician for night shifts. You'll maintain and improve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems across the site. Required are a Level 3 qualification in relevant disciplines and experience in a maintenance department.   • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on volume picking machinery.
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns and defects to minimise downtime.
  • Manage and liaise with external contractors.
  • Support and deliver technical projects within the Supply Chain.
  • Maintain and optimise depot facilities and automation systems.

Job description

This is a permanent role for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician – Nights in Coleshill, Birmingham (B46). The working hours are Monday to Friday, 22:00 – 06:00, with a salary of £49,705 per annum (inclusive of annualised shift and regional supplements).

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Coleshill Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on volume picking machinery.
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns and defects to minimise downtime.
  • Manage and liaise with external contractors.
  • Support and deliver technical projects within the Supply Chain.
  • Maintain and optimise depot facilities and automation systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance department.
  • Skilled in fault finding across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems.
  • Desirable: IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Desirable: Experience managing a technical team.

Please note: This role involves physical activity including standing, walking, lifting (up to 15kg), bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.
