Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) at our Hull site on behalf of a global manufacturer. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated production equipment to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

The role requires strong electrical fault-finding skills, experience with PLCs, drives and sensors, and a proactive approach to reliability. Shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off, with permanent, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or processing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with drives, inverters, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery.
• Ability to read and amend engineering drawings.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work the advertised shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, inverters, motors and sensors.
• Improve machine availability and overall equipment performance.
• Record maintenance activity using CMMS and TPM systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.
• Support engineering projects and continuous improvement activity.
• Work closely with production, quality and operational teams.
• Contribute to risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support and share knowledge with colleagues.
