Job summary

Auxo Engineering in Northampton is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy moulding facility. The role combines electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and continuous improvement to boost equipment reliability.

You will diagnose faults across PLCs, drives, sensors and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, perform planned PMs, and work with production to improve plant reliability. The position offers a permanent, full-time role with salary around £62k plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Experienced across electrical and mechanical maintenance within manufacturing.
• Proven fault-finding on automated equipment and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machinery breakdowns and perform safe repairs.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Fault-find on PLCs, drives, sensors and 3-phase systems.
• Maintain gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Record activities in CMMS and support installations.
