Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, Hull

About the role

This role involves performing electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks within the maintenance team, following departmental systems to ensure efficient and effective task completion.

The ideal candidate works well under pressure, pays attention to detail, and adheres to the 5S methodology. They should be self-motivated, analytical, problem-solving, and proactive in continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks and communicate progress effectively.
  • Fault find on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Complete pre-task safety reviews, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Follow departmental systems and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Source components and materials, and place orders as needed.

About you

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of PUWER, COSHH, and LOLER regulations.
  • Strong IT literacy and communication skills.
  • Possession of a RTITB certified Counterbalance license and an IPAF Access Platforms Certificate is desirable.
  • Additional experience in fabrication, Fire and Asbestos awareness, and BSC 7671 standards is advantageous.
