About The Role

We are recruiting for a Planned Maintenance Engineer to join our day shift team, working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, at our state-of-the-art food production facility in Peterborough.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our growing business at a modern facility that opened in 2020, with ongoing investment in both equipment and people.

As a key member of our Planned Maintenance team, you will carry out proactive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our production lines. With regular upgrades and new line installations, you’ll work on a variety of modern equipment and have the chance to continually expand your knowledge.

We are looking for a truly multi-skilled engineer with experience working on a range of machinery, including conveyors, heat sealers, netting and flow wrapping machines, and coding and labelling systems.

This role requires strong collaboration with our Production Teams, passing on technical knowledge and helping operators contribute to line performance and reduced downtime.

We also believe in investing in our engineers and will support your development and progression within a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering function.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a high volume, fast moving environment
  • Formal Electrical qualifications in Engineering, i.e NVQ Level 3, Engineering Apprentice or Food and Drink Apprenticeship Standard
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude and outlook to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of driving continuous improvement activities
  • Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers and strapping machines.
