Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team in the UK. The role involves diagnosing and repairing equipment, identifying failure modes, and liaising with day teams to resolve issues.

You will carry out preventive maintenance, manage spares via the maintenance system, and work with colleagues to ensure scheduled PMs are completed on time. An apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 are required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineer role within manufacturing.
• Ability to work under pressure with drive and self-motivation.
• Accurate and timely reporting skills.
• Completed an apprenticeship as a Maintenance Engineer.
• Working knowledge of good engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify failure modes of plant equipment and return to operation safely and quickly.
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Liaise with engineering day teams to resolve long-term issues.
• Locate spare parts using the maintenance management system; manage stores and returns.
• Identify failure modes of electrical equipment and make preventive recommendations.
• Obtain maintenance schedules from the system and log work via notifications.
• Carry out preventive maintenance routines.
• Collaborate with other engineers to complete Planned Preventative Maintenance on schedule.
