An established food manufacturer is looking to add a Multi-skilled Engineer to its small on-site maintenance team in Daventry. The facility supplies a range of high-volume baked goods to well-known retailers, operating in a fast-paced, clean environment.


You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of equipment, support improvement projects, and work closely with production to minimise downtime and promote a proactive maintenance culture.


Key duties:



  • Complete planned maintenance tasks and record them using the site system

  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical equipment

  • Support with utilities and facility upkeep

  • Contribute to improvement initiatives and project work

  • Maintain safe working practices in line with site and industry standards

  • Assist and guide production with basic maintenance checks


What you'll need:



  • Time-served or formally qualified in engineering

  • 17th or 18th Edition certification

  • Strong multi-skilled background, ideally from a food or FMCG environment

  • Confident with both electrical fault finding and mechanical repairs

  • Good communication skills and a flexible, hands-on approach
