Job Description:

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Bias)

Location: Leeds

Role: Responsible for planned maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding on filling and packing machinery (mechanical & electrical), and guiding production equipment changes on site.

Key Duties:

  • Perform general maintenance on all production equipment.
  • Complete PPMs on time as per KPIs.
  • Handle size change requests efficiently.
  • Manage contractors for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, especially regarding contractors.
  • Adhere to quality policies and GMP standards, managing contractors accordingly.
  • Carry out statutory and regulatory checks on equipment.
  • Support manufacturing operations with front-line engineering support.
  • Order parts and services through stores requisitions.
  • Monitor plant conditions and report defects.
  • Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities.
  • Represent the company professionally inside and outside the business.
  • Ensure health, safety, and welfare at all times.
  • Engage in self-development and attend training sessions.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and participate in projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain brand integrity according to policies.
  • Work with single and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Competent in electrical fault finding in panels, motors, inverters, relays.
  • Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge.
  • Good mechanical skills: pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes.
