Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (BOAS)


Swansea


Days (Monday - Friday)


Up To £39,000 + Benefits + Overtime



We are looking for motivated a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers with experience on boiler operations and steam (BOAS) to join a globally recognised manufacturer in Swansea. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.



Role Description



  • Must know the various general, specific, and boiler-related safety procedures

  • Must observe and enforce PPE and safety instructions

  • Must be familiar with evacuation procedures (route and assembly point)

  • Participates in firefighting and evacuation training

  • Takes part in mandatory and job-relevant training

  • Conducts self-inspection tests on biomass and gas boilers



  • Ensures work is carried out in compliance with relevant ISO 9001 certification chapters

  • Samples and inspects incoming materials and ash for analysis

  • Conducts boiler water analysis

  • Boiler Room Management



Skills and Qualifications



  • Maintenance Engineering Experience

  • NVQ/BTEC Level 3 In Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

  • BOAS Accreditation

  • PLC Experience

  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics
