Maintenance Engineer
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Agri Sector) – £42,000 - Mon-Thu (15:30-Midnight), Fri (12:00-20:30) - Paid Weekly


The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading agricultural manufacturing business. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of industrial machinery used in agricultural production, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Working with gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and inverters, you will play a crucial role in supporting production operations, troubleshooting faults, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the agricultural sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
    - Maintain and repair gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and inverters within agricultural manufacturing equipment
    - Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime
    - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
  2. Production Support:
    - Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth operation of agricultural processing machinery
    - Assist with machine setup and tool setting
    - Train staff on basic equipment maintenance
  3. Compliance & Safety:
    - Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company policies
    - Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    - Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and equipment upgrades
    - Participate in root cause analysis to prevent recurring breakdowns.

The Candidate:
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within an agricultural or food production setting.
Your CV should demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience with gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and inverters in an agricultural or food manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and fault diagnosis
- Multi-skilled background (mechanical/electrical preferred)
- Commitment to health & safety compliance.


The Package:
- Salary: £19.20 per hour + £1.00 p/h shift allowance (Approx. £42,000 per annum, paid weekly)
- Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday: 15:30 – Midnight, Friday: 12:00 – 20:30
- Attendance Bonus: £600 per annum (criteria-based)
- Holiday: 30 days per year (no bank holidays)
- Pension: Nest company-matched at 3%
- Employee Discount: Reduced cost on all company products
