Job summary

ReFood is hiring a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer for its third state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion and transfer station in Dagenham. The role involves 12-hour shifts on a 4-on 4-off pattern, days and nights including weekends, focusing on maintaining pumps, motors, gearboxes and valves with strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship and mechanical engineering qualification supported.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required.
• Good communication at all levels and teamwork essential.

Responsibilities

• Risk assess all jobs before work begins.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, gearboxes and valves.
• Complete reactive tasks and record readings and check sheets.
• Assist with contractor services and maintain housekeeping.
• Complete logs and job sheets; contribute to projects and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and attend training.
• Install and maintain equipment to minimise production interruptions.
• Support other duties and ad hoc projects as required by management.
