Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading FMCG in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Telford.

Due to a potential retirement, the company is looking to add to their current team of Engineers. The company is looking for someone who has experience within the food manufacturing/food packaging industry.

This role is Multi Skilled but is electrically biased (70% Electrical/30% Mechanical).

For the successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer our client is offering:

  1. Starting salary of £34,292 per annum
  2. Rotating 12-hour shift pattern (days & nights)
  3. Permanent position
  4. Free parking
  5. Company pension plan
  6. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

The role - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

  1. Fault finding
  2. Deal with the day-to-day breakdowns and changeovers.
  3. Get to the root cause of the problem and find ways to prevent the problems from happening again.
  4. PLC programming and fault diagnosis
  5. Root cause all faults, plan and implement changes
  6. Deliver electrical and mechanical changes
  7. Monitor machine performance and provide reactive support for breakdowns
  8. Replace parts removed from machines and complete the correct documentation
  9. Ensure effective communication is maintained with the Section Leader/Shift Manager/Senior Engineer

What our client is looking for in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

  1. Experience within the food or processing industry essential
  2. Multi-skilled position, 70% Electrical, 30% Mechanical
  3. Prepared to learn new techniques & technology.
  4. Experience with Siemens S7 PLC's - Highly advantageous
  5. City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or BTEC Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  6. 17th or 18th edition qualification
