Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

I am working exclusively with a cutting-edge client in the manufacturing industry, a rapidly expanding business supplying to 3000 customers across the UK. They currently require a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established Engineering team, providing electrical and mechanical support to daily operations.

This full-time, permanent role is suitable for someone at the start of their engineering career, offering ongoing development and training to grow with a business that has doubled in size over the last three years.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing routine maintenance as per the site plan.
• Repairing and maintaining plant and equipment, minimizing production downtime.
• Accurate record keeping for compliance and audits.
• Adhering to health & safety legislation.
• Managing stocks of critical spares and equipment.
• Supporting other business functions.

Skills, experience, and qualifications required:

• Experience as a multi-skilled engineer with electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Reactive maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Three Phase equipment, inverters, sensors, and fault finding in control panels.
• Experience with PLC control systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, pumps, and valves.
• Flexible working hours.
• Strong analytical and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to understand complex systems and interpret manuals and diagrams.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ability to work safely at heights using MEWPS and fixed platforms.
• Relevant engineering qualification or HNC in mechanical and electrical engineering.
