Job Description:

Are you a maintenance engineer looking for a new challenge? Due to the introduction of a new line, we are expanding the current maintenance team. Ideally, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled engineer with a mechanical bias, but we are open to speaking to electrically biased engineers too.

With a very settled team, this role is available to a recent promotion to engineering team leader.

Over the last couple of years, the site has recently installed a new CMMS system and stores, with new lines and an overhaul project recently completed.

While this is a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, we will consider engineers from all backgrounds, including engineers exiting the forces.

Responsibilities of a multi-skilled maintenance engineer:

• Reactive and planned maintenance on high-speed packing machinery.
• Undertake machine start-up routines and non-routine planned shutdowns as required.
• Perform full diagnosis and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Communicate machine status and performance across shifts.
• Work in partnership with the production team to ensure optimum output.

Qualifications required to become a maintenance engineer:

• Time-served or apprentice-trained engineer.
• NVQ, BTEC, City and Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
• Experience within a food or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• You should be a team player with a passion for learning.

Benefits of a maintenance engineer:

• Basic salary of £49,450 plus paid overtime.
• Working a 4 on 4 off days and nights pattern (2 days, 2 nights).
• Pension and 20 days holiday.
