MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – SHEFFIELD AREA – £53,000 – 4on4off

Description: Step into a vital role as a Multi-Skilled Engineer based in Sheffield where your expertise in electrical systems and PLC will keep production lines running smoothly. You will be working within companies operating in the fast-moving consumer goods, food, or packaging sector, where your troubleshooting and maintenance skills help avoid costly downtime. This role challenges you to use your technical knowledge to maintain, repair, and improve machinery, ensuring efficiency and safety across operations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems to ensure continuous production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults in PLC and automation systems efficiently.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and respond to unplanned breakdowns with minimal downtime impact.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment in line with company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
Qualifications
  • Strong electrical knowledge and hands-on PLC experience.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within FMCG, Food, or Packaging industries is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional shifts and emergency call-outs.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
