Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

We're seeking a proactive and technically strong Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join the team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across all levels of the organisation as well as with external contractors and service providers.

Role Overview:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance, breakdown response, and overall reliability of machinery within the production and packing areas. This role is essential in supporting the production team to ensure operational targets are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults on machinery and small equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Support and oversee OEM service and repair activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation, and assist with implementing solutions.
  • Update and develop process flows and work instructions where necessary.
  • Liaise with external contractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Operate and maintain equipment as required, ensuring high standards of safety and hygiene.
  • Accurately complete relevant administrative tasks and documentation.
  • Support the development and training of colleagues.
  • Carry out manual handling and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies on health & safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.

Requirements:

  • Electrical bias essential
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment essential
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts (including days and nights)

Package:

  • Shift pattern: Four on, four off (2 days, 2 nights)
  • Salary up to 52,088.36
  • Increasing holiday allowance 8 additional hours annually, up to 264 hours per year
