Job description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Burton Joyce area

Permanent

£48K plus overtime

12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights)

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be to carry out site Electrical maintenance, installation and upgrade around the plant whilst providing production support.

Duties include:

  1. To liaise with the Shift Team Leader to ensure the efficient running of the factory
  2. Understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant / Odour control and effluent treatment plant.
  3. Monitor all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  4. Carry out breakdown repairs, as able, to factory equipment in a timely manner.
  5. Site Electrical installations and upgrade work, as designated by the Electrical Team Leader.
  6. Carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.
  7. To be on call for a proportion of the time.

In order to be considered you will have:

  1. Served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
  2. Extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment and handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
  3. Proven experience with fault finding, be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
  4. Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
  5. Basic mechanical skills and experience of plant operations.
