Job description

Multi-Skilled Engineer (Full-Time Position)
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be responsible for keeping our mechanical and electrical systems running smoothly. This means carrying out regular checks, fixing problems when they arise, and maintaining equipment like heating and ventilation systems, boilers, water pumps, and backup generators.

When something breaks down, you'll need to figure out what's wrong and get it sorted quickly. Part of your role involves scheduled upkeep to keep everything working well and extend equipment life. You'll also need to be ready to handle urgent repair situations to keep disruptions to a minimum.
Working alongside external contractors and service companies will be part of your routine when bigger repairs or new installations are needed. Keeping detailed records of all your work - from job sheets to equipment histories - is essential.

We expect you to keep your knowledge current with what's happening in the engineering field. Following all safety rules and making sure everyone can work in a secure environment is non-negotiable.
You'll get involved in larger projects too, whether that's upgrading existing systems or improving how things work. Other team members will look to you for technical advice and support when they need it.
Management may ask you to take on additional duties that fit within your role from time to time.

What We're Looking For:

You should have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or something equivalent like an ONC or BTEC Level 3.
A relevant multi-skilled apprenticeship would also work well.
We need someone with hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical work, preferably in facilities management or looking after buildings and grounds.
You should understand how heating, ventilation, plumbing, and general building systems work.
Being able to spot problems and fix them efficiently is crucial.
You'll need to juggle several jobs at once while staying on top of routine maintenance schedules.
