Job summary

A manufacturing company in Magherafelt is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure efficient operation of plant and machinery. Job description

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

40k + van for travel to the two sites

To ensure that all plant and machinery across two sites are maintained in safe, efficient working condition. To minimize downtime through planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and continual improvement in equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute planned preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing (e.g. window fabrication machines, CNC saws, welders, frame presses, finishing equipment).
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns swiftly to restore production capability, root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Travel between both sites as required, correcting faults, performing maintenance jobs, and ensuring site standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, COSHH, and safe working practices.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering background (e.g. Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds / apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Good experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally with PVC/UPVC window & door fabrication or similar.
  • Competent in troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical faults; experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
