Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business in Macclesfield to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. • Salary: £55k per year + NO WEEKENDS! Bonus, 10% pension

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Macclesfield - £55,000 5-week shift pattern – 6am-6pm for days and 6pm-6am for nights as shown below. No weekends

• Overtime paid at 1.5x Mon–Sat and 2x Sundays

The Role

• Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance across site machinery
• Complete statutory checks and ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
• Support continuous improvement projects and help increase machine availability
• Work closely with the Engineering Team Leader and colleagues to prioritise workload effectively
• Record completed work and provide clear handovers between shifts
• Manage and oversee contractors on site, ensuring safe and compliant practices

The Person

• Previous experience in breakdown response and planned maintenance within manufacturing
• Skilled in both mechanical and electrical fault finding, able to work from technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of health & safety practices, including safe isolation
• Flexible and proactive, able to work independently and under pressure
• Team player with good communication skills
• Bonus skills: pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding, PLC fault finding, or maintenance systems knowledge
