Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business with prospects for career advancement.

As Maintenance Engineer, you will oversee a team of maintenance specialists, provide technical guidance, and handle complex maintenance issues requiring advanced expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assess situations initially
  • Carry out repairs or recommend specialist contractors
  • Perform site inspections, identify and report major repairs
  • Supervise contractors to ensure work standards
  • Perform maintenance and repairs (leaks, taps, plumbing, tiling, electrical works, lock changes, etc.)
  • Support operations during tenant move-ins (e.g., fixing TVs, whiteboards)
  • Perform light carpentry (e.g., building cabinets)
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in maintenance or construction
  • Proficiency with hardware tools and electrical equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
  • Good communication and client-facing confidence
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Prioritize health and safety, proactive in spotting issues

Additional Details:

  • Location: Kings Cross and surrounding areas
  • Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
