Job description

Overview

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a manufacturing business seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer at their Hull depot.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate safe working practices at all times.
  • Produce and review RAMs.
  • Perform RCA and detailed fault finding.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including all system activities.
  • Utilize site safety systems including LOTO, testing for dead, and safe reinstallation.
  • Follow permit systems, produce risk assessments, and implement safe systems of work and COSHH assessments.
  • Work on PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and communication hardware/software.
  • Perform instrument calibrations and control valve maintenance.
  • Refurbish plant and equipment across laboratory, factory, and effluent treatment plants.
  • Fulfill duty holder roles.
  • Work safely with hazardous systems including steam, air, water, and chemicals such as HCL, nitric acid, caustic, and ammonia.
  • Mentor colleagues to promote plant knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with all team levels and hand over completed work.
  • Participate in project teams and multi-skilled activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Apprentice-trained engineer with mechanical and electrical training.
  • Experience with instrument calibration.
  • Fault finding on HMIs, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
  • Electrical 17th/18th edition certification.
  • Experience with CMMS and preventative/predictive maintenance (desirable).
  • Ability to manage contractors (desirable).
  • H&S and environmental awareness, NEBOSH or IOSH managing safety certification (desirable).
  • Siemens and Yokogawa DCS experience (desirable).

  • Salary: £54,530 (including shift allowance)
  • Hours: 38 hours/week, day and night shifts
