Castle Employment is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a well-established manufacturing site in Peterborough. The role focuses on fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement to support plant reliability.

You will be a time-served Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment, reading electrical schematics, and a proactive, team-focused approach. 18th Edition is desirable, and shifts are Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Time served as Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Multi-skilled capability with fault finding across both disciplines.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Fault find across PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Carry out mechanical repairs across hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings and gearboxes.
• Deliver planned preventive maintenance across site equipment.
• Support installation and commissioning of machinery.
• Identify root causes and implement reliability improvements.
• Work closely with production to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow HSE and LOTO procedures.

Opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site, supporting plant reliability through fault finding, PPM and continuous improvement.

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £44k

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing both electrical and mechanical faults
