Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We're looking for aproactive Maintenance Engineer to keep our production lines running at peak performance. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our operation - ensuring our machinery, facilities, and building infrastructure are always in top condition. Your work will directly minimise downtime, boost efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Shifts

  • Dayshift: Mon-Thurs 6am-2:30pm | Fri 6am-2pm
  • Backshift: Mon-Thurs 2pm-10pm | Fri 2pm-9:30pm (one week in three)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance to keep equipment performing at its best and spotting issues before they cause disruption.
  • Acting fast when breakdowns happen - troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing to get production back on track quickly.
  • Carrying out regular inspections to guarantee machinery runs safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining compliance by checking guards, isolators, and safety practices are in place at all times.
  • Keeping records accurate and up to date: inspections, downtime logs, and job cards.
  • Managing critical spares - ensuring the right parts are always available when needed.
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Looking after the site's facilities and building maintenance to create a safe, productive environment.
  • Partnering with the engineering team to identify and deliver continuous improvements.
  • Carrying out production line changeovers with minimal disruption to output.
  • Ensuring contractors follow site procedures, protecting our standards in Health & Safety and Food Safety.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture, where every area meets the highest standards.

What we're Looking For

  • HND or Degree qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong engineering background within FMCG.
  • Proven track record in Food Manufacturing environments.
  • Natural problem-solver with sharp critical thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail, with a methodical and organised approach.
  • Flexible mindset - able to adapt and pivot when challenges arise.
  • Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and being accountable.
  • Solid planning, organisational, and documentation skills.
