Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Dartford

GBP40k - GBP56k DOE

Mon-Fri Afternoon Shift (2pm - 10pm) with early finish on Fridays!

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technical problem-solving and a desire to contribute to the company's success.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using appropriate tools and technical knowledge.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including lubrication, inspection, and calibration, to prevent failures and extend machinery life.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and carry out effective repairs.
• Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including work orders, logs, and inventory.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose innovative solutions to boost efficiency.

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar in manufacturing or production.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical installations.
• Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and CMMS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and task prioritization.
• Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
