Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: 50,000 - 52,000
Location: Nottingham
Shifts: Core hours worked at 6-7pm with typical hours per week rotating 6-3pm / 10-7pm (When the site expands, we are expecting to shifts to change to 4on 4off days - Potentially months time)

I'm recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing site based in Nottingham. This is a hands-on, 50/50 multi-skilled role with a slight mechanical bias where you'll play a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement.

The Role:

  • Work on systems including conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings and changing shafts
  • Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of production equipment
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machines and production lines
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing uptime and operational efficiency
  • Respond swiftly to equipment failures to minimise downtime and maintain production flow

Ideal Candidate:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Multi-skilled bias (as close to 50/50 - slightly more mechanical)
  • PLC fault finding knowledge
