Our Network Engineering Manager is currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (known internally as Network Sortation Engineer) to help strengthen our existing team and deliver outstanding service to our Network of Depots around the UK.

In this role, you will cover a number of Depots across Scotland, ensuring that equipment is maintained and repairs are carried out promptly to maintain service quality.

You will be responsible for all maintenance and breakdowns on sortation equipment from both electrical and mechanical perspectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to breakdowns with extensive fault finding (electrical and mechanical)
  • Completing adhoc repair requests on all sortation equipment
  • Performing all PPM and reactive maintenance on sortation equipment
  • Carrying out servicing work, including reports and system updates
  • Using SCADA systems for fault diagnosis
  • Liaising with Security, Operations, and IT departments regarding maintenance
  • Adhering to health & safety policies (including COSHH)

Qualifications

Candidates should have completed a recognized engineering or maintenance apprenticeship, or hold an appropriate engineering qualification (HND/HNC) with an electrical bias. The role requires autonomous working and self-management, with experience in:

  • Fast-paced automated environments with electrical and mechanical repair skills
  • Problem-solving under pressure
  • Resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility
  • Teamwork and a proactive attitude
  • Alignment with DPD values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
  • A full UK driving license, as travel between depots is essential
