Job summary

A precision manufacturing company in Bradford is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer due to increased workloads. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on CNC machines, assist with projects, and work with various engineering systems. Experience in electrical maintenance and CNC is essential. This full-time role offers a bespoke 3-week rolling rota with no weekend work and numerous benefits, including a company pension and onsite gym.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Elevation has the pleasure of working with a leading precision manufacturing company based in Bradford. They are looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established team due to busy workloads!

Location: Bradford

Hours: Bespoke 3-week, 12-hour rolling rota - no weekend work!

Responsibilities of a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer include:

  • Working on CNC lathes, CNC grinding machines, semi-automated assembly lines, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Performing PPMs and breakdown repairs daily
  • Completing 2-3 projects annually
  • Ordering parts/spares as needed
  • Electrical wiring, panel building, testing, inspection, fault finding
  • Working on PLCs (mainly S7) and robots - fault finding and rectification
  • Ensuring daily, weekly, and annual servicing is completed
  • Rebuilding key CNC machinery as required
  • Assisting with machine installations
  • Providing support and training for operators and apprentices
  • Planning work schedules in the absence of the manager
  • Collaborating with other departments for continuous improvement

Desired experience:

  • Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained)
  • HNC and HND qualifications are advantageous but not essential
  • At least 3 years recent experience in electrical maintenance
  • Experience with CNC machines and strong fault-finding skills with PLCs
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Background in manufacturing maintenance
  • IT literate
  • Ideally 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Good work ethic, ability to work independently and in teams
