Job description

Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer Electrical or mechanical bias

Commutable from: Luton, Bedford, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Leighton Buzzard

Shift Pattern & Salary:
4 on 4 off, Days and Nights – £53,000 per annum dependent on level of skills – plus overtime available

Maintenance Engineer profile:

As the Multi Skilled Electrically or mechanical biased Maintenance Engineer, you will have strong electrical knowledge and be comfortable to fault find electrically. Coming from a food or FMCG background is an advantage, although other industries will be considered if you can prove you are competent. You will be a highly-motivated individual and be able to react quickly to any breakdowns that occur.

The Role:

As the Maintenance Engineer you will be working within a team responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of new and existing equipment.
You will be working on food process machinery and will be dealing with fault finding on various PLC’s.
Provide full engineering support to the site Production team
Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of electrical and mechanical systems to include: – Pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, refrigeration units
Co-operate with the production/technical teams to resolve engineering issues in a controlled/logical and professional manner.
Pro-actively and methodically diagnose machine and system faults on production equipment and resolve issues in the most expedient and cost-effective manner.
Deliver as a member of the engineering team optimal levels of performance by utilising continuous improvement tools and techniques.
