Job Opportunity: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: St Mary Bourne

Shift: 4on4off - 2 days / 2 nights

Salary: Up to £52,000

Are you a hands-on engineer who loves solving problems and keeping things running smoothly?

At Vitacress, we're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our close-knit Engineering team. You'll play a key role in maintaining our chilled food manufacturing site by tackling breakdowns, leading planned maintenance, and delivering small but impactful improvement projects.

In this role, you will:
  • Fix faults quickly to reduce downtime
  • Carry out planned maintenance to keep machinery in top condition
  • Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with Production, Technical, and Hygiene teams
  • Record data accurately to support continuous improvement and compliance
  • Ensure all activities meet health & safety, food safety, and Vitacress standards
What you bring:
  • Solid experience in engineering maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding skills in electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work with pneumatics
  • Fabrication and welding experience
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach
  • A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship or graduate program)
