Job summary

Great Places Housing Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Joiner to carry out joinery repairs and maintenance across Salford and Bolton. The role demands delivering high-quality fixes, using multi-trade skills, and maintaining safe, clean homes for residents.

You will be trained, work to a 39-hour week (8:00–16:30 or 8:00–15:30 Fri), and have access to an out-of-hours rota with overtime opportunities. A Full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Joinery (or equivalent qualification/experience)
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Experience working in domestic properties (desirable)
• Ability to carry out basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering to support first time fix and value for money
• Customer-focused approach with pride in delivering high-quality work
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and support colleagues
• Reliable, professional, and committed to safe working practices
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and teams

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all aspects of joinery, including repairing UPVC windows, repairing UPVC/composite doors, replacing double glazed units, and overhauling kitchens
• Delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance work, achieving first-time fixes through accurate diagnosis and effective multi-trade working
• Attending and completing all required training, toolbox talks, and e-learning modules
• Communicating professionally and empathetically with customers, colleagues, and local stakeholders
• Carrying out work safely and professionally, ensuring customers’ homes are left clean and secure
• Using PDA/mobile technology to receive, update, and manage repair jobs efficiently
• Producing accurate records, including before-and-after photographs and detailed job notes
