Job description

Multi-Skilled Handyperson – Self-Employed

£130 per day or more | Full-time or Part-time | Self-employed

Are you a reliable and skilled tradesperson who enjoys variety in your day and takes pride in quality work? Join a growing residential letting agency in Glasgow where you will be carrying out maintenance tasks in tenanted properties and carry out refurbishment work to void properties in conjunction with other trades.

About the Role

We’re seeking a multi-skilled handyperson to support our property management team by completing day-to-day maintenance and more extensive refurbishment work across our portfolio of tenanted and vacant properties.

You’ll tackle a wide range of tasks — from small repairs to larger refurb projects — often working independently, but supported by a responsive lettings team and other trusted contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to planned and reactive maintenance tasks in tenant-occupied homes.
  • Carry out general repairs and light trades: basic plumbing, electrics, joinery, painting, plastering, tiling, and flooring.
  • Carry out refurbishment projects working in co-ordination with other trades.
  • Provide clear updates to tenants and lettings staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and materials used.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in property maintenance, handyman work or general trades.
  • Good working knowledge of common domestic repairs and refurbishment tasks.
  • Ability to fit entire kitchen and bathrooms would be a definite plus
  • Problem-solving mindset — able to diagnose and fix issues independently.
  • Friendly, professional attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a wider team.
  • Punctual, reliable and committed to high standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Own transport (van or car) — fuel allowance provided.
  • Basic tools suitable for day-to-day jobs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Self-employed status.

What’s on Offer

  • £130 per day or more depending on experience and skillset (based on a standard full day).
  • Flexible schedule – full-time or part-time considered.
  • Regular work across Greater Glasgow.
  • Fuel allowance for travel between jobs.
  • Join a supportive, growing agency that values good tradespeople.
