Job summary

A North West construction firm is seeking a Multi-Skilled Groundworker to complete various repair and maintenance tasks. You will work independently across Merseyside, ensuring timely job completion. Essential qualifications include competence in at least two trades, including groundwork, along with NVQ level 2. The role offers a salary of £34,700 and includes flexible working patterns as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including 27 days of annual leave and a substantial pension contribution.

The role

As a Multi-Skilled Groundworker you will be completing all repair, maintenance and improvement work safely, efficiently and to client satisfaction. You’ll be responsible for organising your jobs effectively and independently, taking into consideration job priority and appointments made in order to achieve timely completion of jobs.

To assist and support colleagues in completing jobs in a timely manner you may be required to perform other duties appropriate to your skills and experience.

The right fit

  • Your competent in at least 2 of the following trades (one of which must be Groundwork): brickwork, fencing, flagging and groundwork.
  • You’ll have an NVQ level 2 in your core trade (or equivalent)
  • You must be methodical, accurate and have a keen eye for detail.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when liaising with office staff, managers and customers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • You’re able to plan and prioritise your workload in order to mee deadlines and agreed targets.
  • Full awareness of relevant health & safety requirements and considerations.
  • Experience working with housing associations and managing repairs is desirable.
